| From | Formats |
|---|---|

Import problems
"This doesn't look like a supported raw DNA data file"
Make sure you downloaded the raw data file, not a PDF report, an ancestry summary or a family-tree (GEDCOM) file. Genomeats reads raw data exports from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage and FamilyTreeDNA.
"This ZIP file is damaged or incomplete"
The download probably stopped early. Download your raw data again from your testing company and import the new file.
"This ZIP file is password-protected" or uses an unreadable compression format
Unzip the file yourself (in the Files app, tap the .zip; on a computer, double-click it), then import the .txt or .csv file from inside it.
"This ZIP file doesn't contain a raw DNA data file"
The archive may be a report or photo download. Request the raw data download from your testing company instead.
"This .gz file is damaged or incomplete"
Download the file again and import the new copy.
"VCF files … aren't supported yet"
Genomeats currently reads genotyping-chip raw data from the four companies above. Sequencing VCF files are not supported yet.
I can't find my file in the import screen
The app opens the iOS file picker. Save the download to the Files app first (On My iPhone or iCloud Drive), or use AirDrop from your computer and choose "Save to Files".
Restore your purchase
Genomeats Complete is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple Account. To restore it on a new or reset iPhone:
- Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought it with.
- Open Genomeats and go to Settings.
- Under Genomeats Complete, tap Restore purchases.
You can also tap Restore purchases on the Genomeats Complete screen. There is no account to sign in to and nothing to pay again.
Refunds
Purchases are processed by Apple, so Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Your data
Your report stays on your iPhone. To remove it, use Settings → Delete all data, or delete the app. Read the privacy policy for details.
Questions about your results
Genomeats gives educational information, not medical advice. We can explain what the app shows, but we can't interpret results for your health. For that, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or a genetic counselor, and confirm any rare finding with a clinical test.
