Each trait comes from one published marker; a single marker is a hint, not the whole story. If your file doesn't include a marker, that trait is left off your menu rather than guessed.

Step one

Get your raw DNA file

If you've tested with 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage or FamilyTreeDNA, you can download your raw data from your account: a text file with your two letters at several hundred thousand positions. Save it (.txt, .csv, .zip or .gz) to the Files app.

Step-by-step for each company

No test yet? Genomeats doesn't sell kits, but the app includes a sample file so you can see a full report first.

Privacy promise

Your DNA stays on your phone

  • Analyzed on your iPhone. There is no account and no server to send your file to, and no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
  • The raw file isn't kept. The saved report holds your genotype at the analyzed markers, encrypted on your device and left out of iCloud and computer backups. Face ID lock is optional.
  • Sharing is your choice. A DNA menu card leaves your phone only when you share it yourself. It shows food traits only — never medication, carrier or disease-risk results.

Details are in the privacy policy.

Free vs Complete

The menu is free. The full report is one purchase.

Free report

Free
  • Your DNA menu: full write-ups for all 6 food traits
  • The headline result for every marker
  • Every medication-response and safety result
  • Top-priority diet tips

At launch it is available on the United States App Store only, and the app shows the price before you buy. Compare everything.
