Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 23, 2026

This policy is published for the Washington My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and similar state laws on consumer health data and genetic data, such as those in Nevada and Connecticut. It applies to the Genomeats iPhone app and the genomeats.com website. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

Summary: We do not collect, share or sell consumer health data. Genetic data you import is processed only on your own device, by software running on that device, and is never sent to us or to anyone else.

Categories of consumer health data we collect

None. Genomeats reads the raw DNA file you choose on your iPhone and builds your report there. The genetic information in the file and in your report (your genotype at the markers the app analyzes, and the results derived from it) is consumer health data under these laws, but it stays on your device. It is never transmitted to us, and we have no way to access it.

Purposes for collecting and using consumer health data

We do not collect or use consumer health data. The app processes your genetic data on your device only to show you your report, at your request.

Sources of consumer health data

The only source is the file you import yourself into the app. That data remains on your device.

Consumer health data we share, and with whom

None. We do not share consumer health data with any third party or affiliate, and we do not sell it. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.

Two things happen only when you choose them, and do not send your genetic data to us:

Your rights

These laws give you rights to confirm whether a company collects, shares or sells your consumer health data, to access it, to withdraw consent and to have it deleted. Because we hold no consumer health data about you, there is nothing for us to provide or delete. You stay in full control of the data on your device:

You may still contact us with any request or question, and we will reply within 45 days. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer with the word "Appeal"; we will respond to an appeal within 45 days. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of an appeal, you may contact the Washington State Attorney General.

Changes

We will not begin collecting, sharing or selling consumer health data without first updating this policy and obtaining any consent these laws require.
